One more week gone. This was a week with a little bit of everything. From coding to enjoying being outside walking and taking photos.

Work. I haven’t been developing that much lately for my regular work. I have been focusing on some more administrative stuff, helping and enabling the team getting stuff done, talking and managing to ensure everyone has what they need to succeed. I also spent some time on Information Security Management. It’s one topic that has been new to me in the last year, but now I’m more confident moving around it. Overall it was a busy week with multiple things.

PostFlow. On the side project, things are different. There, I have been coding and enjoying it. It’s great to work with Django! Let’s not get too technical, just an overview. I have sucessfully implemented a system that allows me to schedule my posts to PixelFed. The next steps: Add Instagram crossposting, and open it up for testing. So let me know (reply to this email) if you want to give it a try! I’ll be sending some invites by the end of the month.

Photography. On Saturday I went for a walk with fellow photographers around Amsterdam. It was organised by the Amsterdam Photowalks group, and as the previous one, I had a lot of fun. It was great to get to meet more photographers, share insights, and learn from each others. The two photos on today’s issue are from the walk, follow along on Instagram or PixelFed to see the rest. If you are into photography, make sure to follow along and join. There are more photo walks planned, not only in Amsterdam. Check them out.

Finally, during the last week and for some time now, I’ve been reflecting on the kind of problems that feel most meaningful to work on—and the kind of teams that make that work energising. I keep coming back to projects that blend purpose and impact, especially around tech and climate. That’s where I’ve been having most of the fun. If you’re exploring something interesting in that space, I’d be curious to hear about it.
